Some while ago I started doing some basic bookeeping for a small firm. When they computerised their accounting systems I became more involved. One thing lead to another and I found I had an interest and aptitude for accountancy and bookkeeping.
Fives years ago I decided to take the plunge and went for an interview at Thanet College. I decided to take the first stage of an accounting qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians - known as the Foundation stage. With the help of some excellent tutors, I completed the Intermediate level and I have now completed the final Technician level. I became a Full Member of the AAT in January 2011. I am also a member of The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers.
